Sound familiar?

These are the problems that usually bring people to us. If two or more apply, this service is worth a closer look.

The login page looks generic

A plain login screen with a small logo does not match the premium service you sell, and it is the first thing clients see every day.

Clients are unsure they are in the right place

If the login domain and design do not clearly match your agency, cautious clients may hesitate to enter their password.

No help when someone gets stuck

Clients who forget passwords or cannot find the mobile app have nowhere to turn, so they email or call your team instead.

Domain and SSL setup is confusing

Pointing a subdomain to GoHighLevel and making sure the secure padlock appears involves DNS settings many agency owners would rather not touch.

What is included

Everything below is part of the work, written into your quote, and handed over with notes so you are never locked in.

How do I set up a custom login domain for GoHighLevel?

A custom login domain means your clients sign in at an address you own, such as app.youragency.com, instead of a generic one. You set it up in two places. First, in your domain provider, you add a DNS record, usually a CNAME, that points the subdomain to GoHighLevel. Second, in the GoHighLevel agency white-label settings, you enter that subdomain so the platform recognizes it.

Once both sides are in place, GoHighLevel issues an SSL certificate so the connection is secure and the browser shows a padlock. DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to a day to take effect. We handle the GoHighLevel side and give you or your web host exact instructions for the DNS record, then test everything before telling clients.

  • Choose a subdomain such as app, portal or login
  • Add the DNS record at your domain provider
  • Enter the domain in GHL white-label settings
  • Confirm SSL and test before announcing

What makes a good login page for a white-label platform?

A good login page is simple, quick and reassuring. Clients should instantly recognize your brand, see the sign-in form without scrolling and know where to go if something goes wrong. Clear contrast between text and background, a large enough form and a visible password reset link matter more than decorative effects.

Small details build trust: a sharp logo, a favicon in the browser tab, a domain that matches your website and a short line of text explaining what the platform is for. Links to your support page and the mobile app help clients solve problems on their own. We keep the design light so the page loads quickly, even on mobile connections.

Can the GoHighLevel login page be fully redesigned?

Within limits. GoHighLevel provides white-label settings for your domain, logo and some colors, and the login page can be further styled with custom CSS. That allows meaningful changes such as background images, layout adjustments, colors, fonts and extra text. The login form itself and how authentication works stay under GoHighLevel's control, which is good for security.

Because styling relies on the page structure GoHighLevel provides, platform updates can occasionally change how the login page looks. We write the code carefully to reduce this risk, and fixes are included in our maintenance plans. If an update ever affects the design, clients can still log in normally while we restore the styling.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the questions people ask us most. If yours is not here, ask us directly.

Can I use my own domain for the GoHighLevel login?

Yes. GoHighLevel supports a custom domain for the white-label login, typically a subdomain such as app.youragency.com. You add a DNS record at your domain provider and enter the domain in the agency settings. Once SSL is issued, clients can log in at your branded address. We handle the setup and check it works securely.

Will changing the login domain log my clients out?

Clients may need to log in again at the new address, and any bookmarks pointing to the old login will need updating. The old address usually continues to work during the transition. We provide a short announcement template so you can tell clients about the change, which keeps confusion and support questions to a minimum.

Does the branded login also apply to the mobile app?

Not automatically. The standard GoHighLevel mobile app uses its own login screen. If you want your own branded mobile app, GoHighLevel offers a separate white-label mobile app option at extra cost. Our login page branding focuses on the web login, and we can add links on it that point clients to the right app.

How long does a custom login domain take to work?

Once the DNS record is added correctly, it often works within an hour, though it can take up to a day or two for changes to spread across the internet. SSL is usually issued shortly after GoHighLevel detects the domain. We monitor the process and confirm the secure padlock is showing before you announce the new login.

Can I add a background image or video to the login page?

A background image or gradient works well and is included in the branded package. Video backgrounds are possible but we usually advise against them, because they slow the page down, especially on mobile, and can distract from signing in. We optimize images so the page still loads quickly on slower connections.

Is it safe to customize the login page with code?

Yes, when done carefully. Our styling changes only how the page looks. It does not touch the sign-in process, passwords or authentication, which remain fully handled by GoHighLevel. We never add tracking or scripts that could read what users type, and we review all code before it goes live.

Can I change the login page again after rebranding?

Yes. Logo, colors and text can be updated at any time. If you rebrand, we can refresh the design so it matches your new identity. Small changes such as swapping a logo or color are quick, and larger redesigns are quoted separately before we start.

Do you also brand the password reset emails?

Password reset and system emails are controlled through GoHighLevel's white-label email settings, separate from the login page design. We can review those settings and make sure your agency name and sending domain appear correctly, so the whole sign-in experience feels consistent from the login screen to the inbox.
